today with an apostrophe?
… omission, elision, exclamatory passage, ‘turning away’ - nowadays, today seems to be characterised by all these things.
aujourd’hui avec une apostrophe therefore gathers writings and images that perhaps have interesting things to say about today, possibly even from unusual perspectives.
The name arose when Christopher Sand-Iversen spontaneously uttered the phrase in conversation with a French-speaking acquaintance, who thought it very poetic. CS-I agreed, vowed to make use of it one day, and here we are with an obtusely long url.
CS-I studied Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art. Immediately on finishing his finals he began working freelance as a translator. Later he interned for some months at The Art Newspaper, where he was affectionately known as Superman.
After moving to Copenhagen he co-founded the independent organisation for contemporary art, SixtyEight, an endeavour which often requires superhuman powers of all its members. He also runs the small-scale publisher RSS Press, and in between finds time to write about art, invent fictions and take photos.
